In February 2020, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) decided to rebrand it’s Verified Accredited Wholesale Distributor (VAWD) program. In doing so, the company eliminated the VAWD acronym and renamed the accreditation program to the “Drug Distributor Accreditation” program. Currently, 24 states recognize the NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation. Of those 24 states, Indiana, Iowa, North Dakota, and Wyoming require this accreditation as a condition of state licensure.
